Dental and prosthetic care program

The Regional Health Service guarantees free dental care to people with diseases that compromise the integrity of the teeth, who have conditions (for example people who must receive a transplant) in which damage to the teeth can affect the outcome of the intervention, or people with disabilities that cause problems with the dental system. Dental care is also offered free of charge to people with an ISEE income of less than 8,000 euros per year. For income brackets up to € 20,000, a sharing of expenses is envisaged. For incomes between 20,000 and 22,500 euros, the payment of the full rate of the service is expected, beyond 22,500 you leave the program access range.

The cost of fixed prosthetic products (fixed bridges or single element) and mobile (dentures), usually borne by the client, are offered free of charge to people with an ISEE income of less than 8,000 euros per year.

For the certification of ISEE income (which concerns the overall income of the family and not of the individual), interested parties must contact the authorized tax assistance centers ( CAF ), which issue it free of charge.

The program was launched on 1 June 2005 (Council resolution 2678/2004). In June 2008 (Council resolution 374/2008) the number of people entitled to free dental care was increased (with the inclusion of people with severe psycho-physical disabilities) and the ISEE income ceiling was raised. gives the right to free treatment.

Waiting time

Non-urgent dental care must be guaranteed within waiting times similar to those established for all outpatient specialists: 30 days for the visit. Completion of treatment must be guaranteed within 90 days (150 days for prosthetic treatments).
